Review of: Integrated 20W LED Low Voltage Flood Light
Works greatWilliam Davidson Sep 04, 2021Delivered on time, very sturdy construction, amount of light very adequate.
Excellent QualityWilliam Church Sep 02, 2021These low voltage lights have a very good build quality. The outer is all painted metal and the lense is frosted glass (not plastic) that screws on. I will be buying more of these.
AddendumJohn Dawson Aug 25, 2021I was wrong, there is a strain relief, 2 plastc bars screwed together over wire. I was obviously a little heavy handed and yanked it loose on one of the lights, just tightrned screws and alls well. With top of light atb40 inches above ground ( mounted on dock piling) throws useable light 10 feet using 5 watt led. Can read text out to about 4 feet. Pretty good in my estimate.
Better than most.John Dawson Aug 24, 2021These are similar to the old halogen Malibu lights with of course a better shade which is domed and closed at top and has an elastomeric seal just above the threads. So, less water and bug ingress. Has the usual defects: 3 bolt head with the need to remove, bolts , 2 metal tiers and glass to re bulb. If you can remove the bolts which seize, sometimes overnight. So will the threaded 1/2 inch riser. Also three weep holes which here in Fl are an open invitation to blackflies and spiders to move in. I have found over the last few years the the seizing can be solved by greasing with Anti Seize Technology 44002 marine grease. Messy, brown, gets on everything BUT, works here on the bayou. Still did not like the bulb change. Rolled some copper flashing into a 4 inch long cone such as that on cotton candy. Smaller end goes into riser/ conduit, g4 base gets push fit into larger end. Now you just unscrew entire top from riser, pop in new bulb ( I used g4 LED), screw top back on. I do not know why the manufacturer did not just do this. 1 other con as provided there was no strain relief on wires. 1 good tug and you buy a new g4 base. Otherwise you simply will not find anything better up to $60 price point. I am trying out landscape fabric glued on top of weep holes. Water and water vapor can get out, bugs can't get in. Will re-review if it works. GET THE GREASE. Vaseline won't cut it.
